What is a Migraine ?
Migraine headaches are characterized by recurrent attacks of moderate to severe throbbing and pulsating pain on one side of the head. A migraine is much more than a bad headache. Migraine is a neurologic disorder that is most often associated with a strong headache. The headache comes in episodes and often comes with nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light.
Some symptoms may include:
- increased sensitivity to light and sound
- nausea
- dizziness or feeling faint
- pain on one side of your head, either on the left side, right side, front, or back, or in your temples
- pulsing and throbbing head pain
- vomiting
